Quiet thoughts. Spoken truth. Faith in stillness.
In this reflection, I return to a familiar story in Scripture — but this time I linger in the question Saul asks, and the invitation it holds for our own identity beyond what we’ve done.
In this episode of DeNight Owl Speaks, I reflect on recognition — of ourselves, others, and God’s presence in the margins. Through quiet thoughts, personal storytelling, and faith-centered reflection, this episode explores spiritual discernment, the tension between performance and being seen, and what it means to return to familiar passages with fresh ears.
This episode is for anyone in a season of waiting, discerning, or being seen anew.
Series: Whispers From God
Scripture: 1 Samuel 17:58 KJV
There are moments when Scripture feels familiar, words we’ve read, stories we know, passages we could almost recite.
And then there are moments when those same words meet us differently.
Not because the text changed, but because we did.
Whispers from God lives in that space.
This series was born out of noticing how God often reveals meaning slowly—
sometimes long after we first read something,
sometimes in seasons where we’re finally quiet enough to hear what we once overlooked.
This is not a sermon series.
It’s not about having answers or offering conclusions.
It’s a practice of listening.
In each episode, I’ll sit with Scripture, reflection, and stillness—creating space to notice what God may be revealing now, even through words we’ve known for years.
If you’re in a season of waiting, discerning, or returning to familiar passages with new eyes, you’re welcome here.
